Day 15 (algebraically extrapolating that Feb. 10 was Day 15)
FYI, Chele and BA made it to Salton City and were spotted at the Yacht Club (ironic, as all of the yachts have either sunk or been dry-docked years ago).
It was mid-afternoon and Chele was appreciative of the not unusual plenitude of light and taking panoramic shots. BA arrived a bit later. Information and conversation were exchanged and they were off to their next destination before I had the chance to say, “Imbidiminibly!”
Wishing all the best to all for the duration. I plan to check-out future posts from the team.

Chele, I do so envy your journey. Tomorrow I turn 68 and if the roads were clear, I would take off on a little refreshing journey myself. Most of my life was spent driving back roads in Oregon and Washington states. I have great visuals from the Olympic Peninsula!
I shall read your blog – and of course, your wonderful momma Bernie told me about it. Safe journey and try to expand your menu a bit!

I stand corrected on two accounts: my spelling of “hummus,” and the fact that I completely misjudged Chele–she bought a big chunk of ‘spicy’ jerky at a truck stop near the end of our trip. It was delicious!

I am impressed and jealous (except for the hard boiled eggs and garlicky hummus)….also send good vibes. I do have a yummy ranchy/garlicky/dill snack that Brooke and many others love. I’d be happy to send for a change of pace but would need an address! Thanks for including me and best of luck with your semester @ San Diego SU. Chele won’t eat the jerky, but Alfonso made us a quart of garlicky humus and a dozen boiled eggs, and of course we have bags of cookies. Definitely saving receipts–self employed this year.

I will sleep well tonight knowing that you’re safe, sound and having fun. Hopefully you’ve moved on to warmer climes. Loved the dramatic wind shot of Chele. I’ll check plants and pick up camera tomorrow….yes, I forgot!
